Eco Outfitters
GOTS-certified organic cotton school uniform for UK children.
GOTS Organic — entire range
Is Eco Outfitters GOTS certified?
Eco Outfitters states GOTS certification. I don't have a licence number on file for it, so I've recorded the claim without confirming the number.
- Covers
- GOTS certification covers the whole range, not a selected line.
- What that doesn't tell you
- Without a licence number I can't confirm the scope myself, so treat this as the brand's own statement.

Faye's take
Solves the school uniform problem. Standard supermarket polos and trousers are typically 100% polyester — Eco Outfitters' whole range is GOTS organic cotton in the same shapes and colours schools require. Costs more per item but lasts multiple terms.
How they started
Eco Outfitters was founded over 13 years ago by two mothers who were frustrated by the widespread use of synthetic fabrics and harmful chemicals in schoolwear, and set out to offer a better, organic alternative for children's uniforms.
Where I read thisWhat they report
Eco Outfitters uses 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, with factories in Turkey, Portugal and India all GOTS certified. It aimed to switch to compostable product bags by 2022 and uses recycled paper mailbags and organic cotton washing labels.
