Fluf

Canadian brand making GOTS-certified organic cotton lunch bags, snack bags and reusable totes — replacing single-use plastic.

GOTS Organic Cotton — entire range

Is Fluf GOTS certified?

Fluf states GOTS certification. I don't have a licence number on file for it, so I've recorded the claim without confirming the number.

Covers
GOTS certification covers the whole range, not a selected line.
What that doesn't tell you
Without a licence number I can't confirm the scope myself, so treat this as the brand's own statement.

Faye's take

Lunch bags are usually nylon or polyester with a PEVA lining — Fluf's whole range is GOTS-certified organic cotton instead, including the lining. Designed to wash and last years rather than be a single-season novelty. Sold via indie kitchen and kids' shops.

How they started

Fluf began in 2005 when friends and co-founders Nathalie Butterfield and Terra Kushner set out to make well-designed pillows from natural and sustainable materials, including organic fabrics and biodegradable corn fill. The lunch bag followed in 2010.

What they report

Fluf achieved Climate Neutral Certified status in 2022, joining over 200 brands with that certification. The company makes its bags from organic cotton, which it states uses 91% less water than conventional cotton production.
