Faye's take
Croatian children's shoes built around foot health — wide toe box, flexible soles, mostly real leather and natural rubber. Tier 2 because shoes don't carry GOTS-style organic certification the way textiles do; what they offer instead is traceability of the leather and an anatomical-fit design philosophy. Sold via indie kids' shoe shops.
How they started
Froddo traces its roots to 1946, when it began as a small group of cobblers in Croatia. The company describes itself as having grown from that tradition into the leading footwear manufacturer in Croatia today.
