Faye's take
Peregrine make the case that heritage and honesty can coexist. Eight generations in the same English family since 1796, wool farmed sixty miles from the factory, and — genuinely rare in modern knitwear — a stated refusal to mix in acrylic or elastane. Their 100% British Wool Hudson Aran and 100% Merino jumpers and cardigans clear the strict rule cleanly. But this brand needs care: their cotton pieces use 'GOTS-certified dyes' which is NOT the same as a GOTS-certified garment, so cotton items are held out of Tier 1. Their waxed jackets are rejected for the same reason as Barbour — synthetic linings. Faye lists only the wool knitwear that genuinely qualifies.
