Faye's take

Q for Quinn is a GOTS-certified company (Ecocert Greenlife, Licence #256894), which means the certification covers the brand itself, not just individual styles. The bulk of the range is 95–100% organic cotton: socks sit at 97–98% with a small spandex/nylon content for fit and durability (industry-standard for any sock that stays up), underwear and bras are 95–100% organic cotton with ~5% elastane for stretch where needed, and a growing 'Natural / Pure' line is 100% undyed organic cotton with no synthetic stretch at all. Honest caveats: the stretch styles aren't elastane-free, so if you need a fully spandex-free piece pick from the Natural 100% range or the Cottonique catalogue instead. Latex-free across the range, and they're publicly working toward fully biodegradable garments. A strong fit for sensory and sensitive-skin kids — their kids' socks and underwear are some of the most-reviewed in this category.

How they started

Q for Quinn was founded by Melita Cyril to dress her son, who suffered from eczema. She was alarmed to find that around 90% of baby and kids' socks contained BPA and parabens, which compelled her to seek a safer, organic cotton alternative.
