Faye Verified, for brands
A planned independent check of a whole brand: every claim it makes, every mark it shows and the factories behind its products. A brand that passes will be able to show the Faye Verified mark on its shop. A brand can fail.

What's checked
Every claim the brand makes
On its own website, its About page and its product pages: natural, organic, sustainable, non-toxic, made in, and the rest. Each one is checked against evidence.
Every mark and test it shows
Certification logos and test results are checked with the body that issued them, the way Faye checks a GOTS licence against the certifier's own records. A logo alone is not evidence.
The factories and the process
Who makes the products and how, through the supply chain, so a claim about the product holds for the way it was made.
What fails
- A product called natural that contains a synthetically made ingredient.
- A certification, licence or test that has lapsed, or that doesn't cover the product it's shown on.
- A claim with no evidence behind it, or evidence that says something different.
- A mark the issuing body can't confirm.
The fee never buys the result
A brand will pay for the work of checking, whether it passes or fails. It can't pay for a pass, a better letter or a place in the app. Brands can't pay Ovine for anything else.
Faye Verified is separate from the members' catalogue. Products reach the catalogue only by meeting Faye's rules, and that costs a brand nothing. Faye's letters on your products are set by the same rules as everyone else's, verified or not.
How it will work

The check
Ovine will work through every claim, mark and supplier, and ask you for evidence where it's needed.

Pass or fail
You'll get a private report either way, with what passed, what didn't and why. A brand that fails will be able to fix things and ask again.

Regular re-checks
Evidence lapses and claims change, so a verified brand will be checked again on a schedule. If something stops being true, the mark stops.
